Our groups are usually held during school terms and are listed below.

Our Community and Family Support (CAFS) program funding allows us to deliver many of our programs at no cost.

We also offer childcare for the duration of some programs. Please notify us at the time of booking program if you need this service.

Parenting Courses Timetable

5-week parenting program for parents of 2 – 11 year olds, providing a wide range of activities and tools that are unique. The program offers parents and carers a fresh way to understand their role and enact relationships with their children in a reflective way. The program will be delivered in Mandarin, but the handouts and videos are mainly in English with some additional resources provided in Mandarin. (Limited childcare, bookings required)

When:  Tuesdays: 5 May to 2 June

6-week parenting program for parents of 0-5 year olds, is based on decades of research about how secure parent-child relationships can be supported and strengthened. We work with parents to understand their child’s emotional world by learning to read their emotional needs, support their child’s ability to successfully manage their emotions, enhance the development of their child’s self-esteem and honour the innate wisdom and desire for their child to be secure.

When:  Tuesdays: 28 April to 2 June

Time:  6:00pm to 8:00pm

Play is a vital tool for your child’s emotional, cognitive, and social development. Discover how play can boost learning, strengthen parent-child bonds, and nurture resilience. This engaging session offers insights, strategies, and fun, age-appropriate play ideas to help you support your child’s growth. Whether you’re a new parent or simply looking to refresh your parenting toolkit, this webinar is for you!

This webinar will provide practical tools to help you manage sibling rivalry, reduce tension, and create an environment of mutual respect and cooperation. Learn how to support your children in building lifelong bonds, learning to problem solve and building meaningful connections with their siblings.

5-week program for parents of 4 to 10 year olds. Focuses on the emotional connection between parents and children. Aims to teach parents emotion coaching skills, to help their child understand and manage their emotions, as well as improving communication and parent-child relationship. Help develop your child’s social skills and manage frustrations and conflict, thus increasing positive behaviours.

(Limited childcare, bookings required)

When:  Tuesdays: 10 November to 8 December

Time:  10:00am to 12:00pm.

4-week program aims to teach parents how to deal with their children’s difficult behaviour by using an easy-to-learn and easy-to-use signalling system. The signaling system requires the parent to use less talk and less emotion, which in turn encourages the development of children’s ability to manage their emotional reactions to parental boundaries (or emotional competency).

When:  Tuesdays: 1 September to 22 September

Time:  10:00am to 12:00pm.

3-week program for parents/carers of teenagers. Providing parents with practical tips and strategies to prepare for tough conversations, maintain open communication, build relationships with your teenager, and foster safe independence. Parents will learn to better understand adolescents and appreciate what are reasonable expectations to hold and gain a renewed sense of confidence about the role they can play in their teenagers’ lives, without conversations morphing into arguments.

When:  Tuesdays: 1, 8, 15 September

Time:  7:00pm to 9:00pm.

Our SafeT – Staying Home Leaving Violence program supports women with or without children who have left domestic and family violence to transition away from violence safely, to secure a safe home to rebuild their lives and build their capacity to live their lives free from violence.
