Support During COVID

The team at The Northern Centre are delighted to let you know that they will resume face-to-face services from 10 January 2022, and all of our staff and collocated partner organisations are fully vaccinated.

Between now and then, we will continue to work with you via ZOOM or phone.

We are an essential service and we will continue to deliver our services to all clients irrespective of their vaccination status. We have implemented COVID safe practices and upon arrival to our office it is expected that you will: check in via the QR code; have your temperature checked; and show your vaccination status.

Should you not be vaccinated, you will be asked to wear a mask and extra precautions will be made to protect you, our team and our other clients.

We look forward to emerging out of lock down.

The Northern Centre offers a voluntary, free and confidential service. We accept self-referrals as well as referrals from agencies and community organisations.

New referrals will undergo a short intake process over the phone, which takes approximately 10-20 minutes. This will be conducted with the client or the referring agency. If the referral is not appropriate for our services, we will assist the client where possible to connect to a new service.

We take referrals for the following services – family support, housing and homelessness assistance.
