Raising a family can be one of the most challenging and rewarding things that we do. The Northern Centre understands the pressures, hurdles and stresses that many families encounter and we can support you and your family with a whole range of different services.
Under the new Targeted Earlier Intervention (TEI) program funded by DCJ (Department of Communities & Justice), our Family Support Team will deliver flexible support to children, young people and families experiencing or at risk of vulnerability.
Perhaps you are looking to build your confidence as a parent or manage a new situation in your family. Perhaps you and your family are looking for some guidance and support around issues that are influencing your family; such as boundary setting, differences in approaches to parenting, balancing cultural expectations, separation, career, financial stress or strategies in managing your child’s developmental or emotional issues.
We offer individual support or can work with the family as a whole to build your confidence and skills to assist you and your family though a number of approaches including personalised case management, counselling, parenting programs or supported playgroups. The length of time with us will depend on the complexity of your issue.
To tailor the best service for you and your family, please call and ask for our Intake Coordinator.
